HTML5 animated dashed line

I wanted an animated dashed line in HTML5. Here is the result: view demo

The length of the dashes is not optimal, because of the fixed offset used (dotLength).

I used a linear function to calculate the line segments. 
Use this to calculate your a and b values. 

Points of improvement:

• Startpoint based on a x > 0.
• Endpoint based on a x < canvas.width.
• Reverse direction.
